Hi all,,
I'm new to all this, so help would be greatly appreciated. Can any of you FM wizards, do a database for an all Ireland League. Both northern and Republic leagues join up as one league. A premier league, and divisions beneath also. With promotion and relegation. League will have cups also. Reckon it would be fantastic idea. I'm no good at the Editing so hoping someone might like this challenge.
Look forward to responses to this forum.
Thanks.

Best option is to fully unify both countries, I did it in FM22 (here) but it's a lot of work going into all the guys who have "trained in nation" Northern Ireland and changing that to the Republic. This becomes an issue with Champions League homegrown registration

To keep the countries separate, the league would still have to be set to one country, and that would pose problems down the line when teams from the "other" country (like, Linfield playing in a league that's set to the Republic) qualify for Europe. The game looks to a team's "nation", not "based nation", when checking for Champs League homegrown rules (the Welsh teams in England are hard-coded to avoid this problem).

So the best option might be to expand on a continental tournament (like mine) and keep both country's league systems active, even as, like, only a small preseason "league" that hands out Euro qualifying spots, etc, but can end in a month or so leaving the rest of the season open for an All-Irish league using the continental rules
