This was brought up by Peter on our Facebook group (link to the post).

Peter initially made an offer of 8m for Almada which was rejected.
A week later he went back in and accidentally offered no money and they replied with a 6-month instalment of 9m, so he negotiated a 12-month instalment of 7m which got accepted.

This has also worked in new saves for players like Nypan, Velasco, Turgeman, Kjærgaard and even older players like Luiz Diaz, Sane, Cucho Hernandez, Frimpong and more.

Chris reported that if you offer zero money, they will end up accepting the 50% of whatever they reply with. For example, if they suggest an instalment of 9m, you could respond with 4.5m and have that accepted.

Pro Tip (by Stefan): There's also a window of opportunity. If you wish to sign a player you intend to use for a season or so, offer most cash after maximum amount of games & internationals, then sell before they reach it.
This might be a good idea if you need a decent backup guy after an bad injury or as a stopgap replacement after selling a key player until a wonderkid can step up.

Have you tried any of the practices mentioned above?
