Which is the best version of football manager?

Should i buy the a 2020s or latest one ? or go with something like 2014/2016?

I used to love the old ones like 2008 but find there’s not enough info on training tactics player interaction and media etc it seems too easy now. Although never managed non league.
obviously the newer one are arguably a different game??
how much of a difference are the various years?

hey buddy, the new one's are good but i'm a massive fan of 16. it's my favourite of all time tbh.
i love non-league & league 1 & 2 too.

Most fun version for me is still FM Classic 2013, but that's because I love to be able to play a whole season in a single gaming session, which is no longer possible now. Besides that, I find injuries to be super unrealistic in recent versions due to the FIFA crybabies complaining on the SI forums (there are few serious injuries plus they don't decrease the CA of the player anymore). The game is way easier now than it was.
