NEW WORKINGTON MANAGER CONFIRMED
Workington have confirmed their new manager to be Craig Lucock, a relative unknown starting his foray into managing. Craig was hired after former manager Darren Edmonson was sacked for lackluster performances in the league.
We spoke to the new man in charge earlier.
Key: J= Journalist, CL = Craig Lucock
J: Are you happy to be the Workington manager? is this your dream job?
CL: No disrespect to Workington but this isn't my dream job, although i am very proud to be the manager of this fine team and hope to lead it to some good accomplishments.
J: Will you be making any major changes to the playing and managing staff here?
CL: The set up here is very good and i doubt i'll be making major changes in the coaching staff, the players are a whole different issue and despite the fact that i do admire a lot of the players here, there may be some changes.
J: Will you be heavily involved in the running of Workington?
CL: As much as time allows me to be involved, i'll be involved.
J: Will you be very hands on with your players?
CL: The players can come to me with any issue they have and i shall manage it to the best of my abilities.
J: What is your tactical approach to the game?
CL: I am an attack minded manager, although i make sure the defense is secure too.
J: During this time when you have signed up as the manager, there has been serious interest in Jonny Wright. Will you be looking to keep hold of him?
CL: Jonnny is a fantastic player for this level and deserves the praise he's getting, i would ideally like to keep him but i will respect his decision if he wishes to move on.
Craig is looking forward to managing the team and will look to stay here for as long as possible.
