As Birmingham finally fell through the Championship sink hole having circled for half a decade, its time to totally reset the club, playing and non playing staff. We will aim to replicate teams such as Brighton and Brentford who have moved through the leagues strategically and will try to buy windows ahead of where we are now - what helps us in this situation is the updated squads to start the save mean we have a very strong squad for League One. I took the decision to turn off transfers for the first window so we will see what moves we can make in January.
Our first move was to totally overhaul the staff, something which excluding managers hadn’t happened in a long time and with us clearing house this was the perfect time to start. A full overhaul that included a full staffing change meant we brought in 34 new first team staff members and seven staff members to kick start the U21 set up.
Our most notable and initially impactful staff signing is John Morling as Assistant Manager, his last job was at Brighton (one of the clubs we are closely trying to replicate) as Academy Manager. He may on the face of it seem to be not suited to the role but his attributes match so he will get a chance.

We have set up our scouting network and what Id call a coup we grabbed former Liverpool Chief Scout Dave Fallows! We also added six scouts with expertise across Europe. I was keen to enable the club to start moving into the Americas and that meant brining in João Domingos Pinto, a Porto legend having played, managed, scouted and directed at the club, he has incredible knowledge in Brazil and Argentina.

We have been hands-on with training and have set up U21 and first team training and we approach the season ready to go. The only early issue I can see is that with so many new players and staff it has meant that we have Abysmal Team Cohesion, something once we get right I cant see being an issue for the rest of the time we are here!
