In the Turkish Süper Lig, I'm trying to make some adjustments using the pre-game editor via the Advanced Rules section. Specifically, I want to modify the foreign player rule—starting with a maximum of 14 foreign players and gradually reducing it to 12 after two seasons. Instead, I want to extend the limit to allow 18–20 foreign players.
I'm also updating the substitution rule from 5 out of 10 to 6 out of 12. I save and test the changes within the editor, and everything seems to work perfectly at that stage.
However, once I start the game, I notice an issue. The league originally starts with 20 teams, and under normal conditions, 4 teams should be relegated over the first two seasons so that the league reverts back to 18 teams (since 18 is the standard number—during the COVID era, relegation was suspended, which led to 20 teams).
Here's where the problem arises: after my changes, the league continues to run with 20 teams permanently. Only 3 teams are relegated each season, and 3 are promoted from the lower division, which keeps the number of teams fixed at 20.
How can I fix this?
