Hey folks,
New to this forum but I hardened, wisened player of the Championship Manager / Football Manager franchise for over 25 years now.
Prior to becoming very unwell in November 2023, and needing emergency surgery, I had started a save as an unemployed manager with Sunday League experience and wound up where I wanted to start - in Japan - with YSCC Yokohama, who were then staring down at the prospect of relegation from the J3 League.
Under my guidance, we ended the first season in a mid-table position and made further progress in the second season, reaching the playoffs but failing to achieve promotion. In the third season, with a number of transfer windows to acquire some canny loans and free transfers, we ran away with the J3 League.
Season #4 in the J2 League was not quite so clear cut, but we finished second and gained automatic promotion to the top flight. While not a sparkling, perfect save that is so often seen online, I was incredibly proud of this, especially as I had had so long away from the save through illness and getting back to some semblance of normality in my life.
This then cuts to recently, when in February, I started recording my gameplay and uploading onto YouTube. I have consumed so much gaming content , but particularly Football Manager), over the years, and always wanted to 'have a go'.
If anyone reads this post, that is enough for me, I'd love to discuss my save more based on any questions you have and what I have done with it since I started recording. I have switched clubs (moving to Europe), which was something of a dilemma.
If you are remotely tempted to have a watch, the link to my channel is below, as is the link to Episode 1.

Episode 1: https://youtu.be/I_9V-DQmxwE?si=W5pTR40Xy_rVvBaV
If anyone cares to, I'd be delighted to get some feedback on the save and my videos. I don't have grand expectations for my channel, I enjoy the process of playing the game, recording me doing so and doing something with it - it gives my playtime more meaning, I guess.
NOTE: Please don't judge me purely by the first few episodes. Since then, the quality of my commentary and the overall editing and inclusion of intros etc. Still a lot to work on though!
Best wishes,
Dan (Teach Gets Taught)
