i agree with 0:0, having a manager personal life is a frankly horrendous idea.

I think what would be nice is the ability to build academys all over the world. Barcelona are building one in England in real life, i think it can be pretty interesting to implement that in the game. If im Arsenal FC and i want the best young players in "X" country then i could build an academy there. I know it could work and it wont make things easier, im sure the people who make the game are capable of implementing that without taking the fun away from scouting. Just because you build an academy in a different country doesnt mean you will have all the best young guns from that country. You could have your academy miss out on a couple players forcing you to buy them.

Of course you would have to go through the board first and get there permission for the go ahead to build the academy also.
wtf?? i read some posts over here and i can tell that everyone wants that FM to be a Fifa manager. it's wasting a time on building personal life on manager. i would prefer a more options for clubs (build buildings, tv programs, shops, youth academies, training facilities signs sponsorships, be a chairman etc.) and add finally a japanese league to a FM (get the licence for that league), these is a huge market of players and be useful...that's my opinion....
and agree with teacher to build a stadium...if you control the small club you dont need a stadium of 50000 seats. and must have option for match tickets. with that manager can a little control the budget of club. 20.00 euro for sesaon ticket is horshit...
well I'll say that copying FIFA manager when it comes to the youth-section isn't a bad idea, I just love the way it works once you've got the shop up and running !
Can any "old timer" remember the title of a MANAGER in Playstation 1 that you could build stadiums and other facilities, as : broadcast , training ground , academies , hospital etc.
I'm thinking, that it will be very good if you add a favourite players to the managers informations.I always wanted that thing to be added to this game.I also think that building a stadium, training facilities, youth facilities,etc...could be very, very good staff...Even those academy's seem like a good idea...
How about when choosing past experience when adding your manager when you choose the 'Professional Footballer' & 'International Footballer' I think it would be good if you could perhaps make your own player history?
-Maybe have the personal life as an optional feature? Then people who want it can play it, but people who don't won't have to bother with it.
-Previous history is a good idea, because otherwise it will just say that you used to play football. No indication as to who for other than your country.
-Youth academies in other countries also sounds like a good idea.

-Staff reports for players away on loan. I don't like joining a club where I have players out on loan who I can't recall, who are also out of contract on the day they come back, and not knowing how good their potential is to know whether or not I should renew them.
I admit that copying one or two ideas from FIFA manager may be a good idea, the ability to have more control over what building can be built, youth academies in other countries and maybe building stadiums for example, but the personal life may not be the best of ideas to copy.

I don't agree however, that it would be a complete waste of time to have some kind of personal life integrated, for instance think of real life, if a manager does something wrong outside of football or his actions have ramifications the press tend to jump all over it and it creates a new image of that manager, so why not have it in the game?
To Me the game is about football - yes but also been a football manager so i want everthing a football manager has to do in real life in the game. Not bothered about changing the colour of the kits, cheating by using the utilities on here - all i want is a realistic football mangement sim that works.

Game engine - needs to be perfect and realistic but doesn't have to be pretty.

Tactics - again have to be realsitic and give realistic control of them.

Job - The career of a fb manager needs to include everythng from qualiifications to a managers life - all counts - no fb manager will do the job for nothing so the managers salery has to come into it - as things stand it dont make a dif if ye earn 0 or millions.

Staff - needs to be inplemented far better - as things stand most staff are pretty useless in the game apart from training.

Transfurs - dont seem to work too good for me - players i have dont ever seem to attract any clubs hardly ever even when put on the TL. Buying is easy but selling is very hard - too hard.

Stats, you tube - Could do with some kind of stats online record so you can compare yourself with others and an improved you-tube share and maybe a blog share so you can put all your glory and goals on ye blog?

When a player says that they're going to retire at the end of the season there should be an option in private chat to try and persuade him to continue playing next season.

I always thoguht you could always presuade a player to continue to play.

You can internationally, but I don't think you can otherwise.
