was wondering if anyone has or is going to make a data update for 11/12 season to play on fm11? fmgeenie used to make them but stopped a few years ago.

I don't know 100% but I would guess that any sort of transfer update wouldn't be released until closer to the end of the transfer window; releasing an update now would be sort of pointless considering we are in mid-June, the transfer window doesn't officially open until July 1st and there will be loads of teams that make moves between now and the end of the window in August.
Hopefully someone has done one that includes the transfers already done (Henderson etc), but I doubt it. I think your best bet would be to start fresh, install the latest patch (includes the January transfers), and then use some of the sites that list all worldwide transfers to update your own game.
FMGeenie used to do a few updates over the summer, 1st one was just the promoted/relegated teams, then they would do the transfers.

I may make one myself , although i would most probably only do transfers to and from english clubs in the championship and above as well as major spanish / italian clubs.
At the moment i am setting up a database for me and a few of my friends which we feel has more up-to-date or accurate stats , such as players like gareth bale and andy carroll being a bit better. If people are interested in having it i would gladly upload it somewhere.

Sure , when i get a chance later i will upload it somewhere mate. It is only players in the premiership though , no foreign players.
