technical assistance please!!

Hello, I have a problem playing FM11. Every time I click on something (with the game already on) I get a strange message saying XML parsing error and the screen configuration becomes very weird... Any thoughts?

Start - username - appdata - roaming - sports interactive - then delete the settings folder and all will be fine

and try to make your changes with the fm editor if you use a lot of fmrte you get a lot of that error
