Canales or Paulo Henrique?

My question is as simple as the title of the topic!
I already have Sergio Canales and I use him as MC adv. playmaker. Suddenly I notice Paulo Henrique is transfer listed in Barca for 10M. I can easily afford him and even make profit if I sell sergio but when I look at their stats Canales seems a little better especially in passing, flair, creativity, dribbling and composure, key attributes for the role i need him... On the other hand he's in the team for a year and has not been what I expected to be. I mean I have a regen with more defensive stats that gets almost double assists+goals in the same time and I have bought Canales in order to tutor him in the future and make more instant impact....
So, do you think I should patiently stick with Canales or try Paulo Henrique? As noted above money is not the problem.

Well I agree with you, this would be very nice. The problem is that I have spent too much effort to develop a 4-4-2 ball possession strategy based on my wingers that cut inside and acquire a squad good enough to support this tactics. I have thought 4-3-3 a lot but there are some awesome wingers in my team and I really love them. I got all of them in my first seasons it would be really hard to try and fit them in a different tactic away from their favorite positions. Moving them to ST position would be disaster because I already have too many guys in these positions.
Finally I'm afraid i'll have to choose one of them since my youngsters are pushing their way to the first team and perhaps Paulo Henrique will be him. Canales has disappointed me a bit... My dilemma now is whether I sell Canales now or give him a chance till summer ( i'm in January now) to prove himself.

but dude, a 4-3-3 allows you to play with your wingers and a lone-striker as well as the three in the mid... you can play your wingers in any role from the AML/AMR position without any toruble... but if you're set on selling I'm not sure, I've always found it difficult to get players to preform as advanced playmakers so maby it's his role rather then his preformance... they're both class-acts and if you find the right role they will deliver!

Yeah I think you two are talking about different formations here. prophet_omar is talking about a 4-3-3 where there are 3 CMs and 3 strikers, no wingers. l3nnart is talking about the 4-3-3 (or 4-5-1) where there are 2 wingers and a lone striker, 2CMs and one DM.

Get Paulo Henrique...and sell Canales.....I have both and Paulo plays better. I bought Pastore this season, will wait 1 season to see how he jells with the team... Then perhaps sell Canales for 30-40 million

Get Paulo Henrique and keep them both till the summer, or till next winter, see if Paulo Henrique plays better and then you can make some profit from Canales too. Don't rush things

i bought paolo henrique for my Man City team and i play 4 2 1 2 1 . and play him behind the striker with david silva. and hes doing a great job

get paulo henrique, he is an insane playmaker. and also can be one of the best wingers in the game when he is in form. train him for attacking midfielder(left), and see the magic. i've got him and hazard their total assists was 58 last season. of course clinical performance of agüero as poacher help this too

i'm at arsenal atm and having fun at the transfermarket . i normally play 4 3 3 with two inside forwards, sometimes i change it into 4 4 2 diamond. got pato to assist agüero for free last season. you probably need a great playmaker to let agüero run for the goal. i suggest either getting hamsik or paulo henrique. if you are willing to dominate the PL and CL buy de rossi with either one of them. use de rossi as box to box midfielder he'll score atleast 12 goals/season. if you are low on transfer budget (which i doubt since you are currently managing Man City) use silva as playmaker at left attacking midfielder position use agüero as inside forward with attacking mentality, and assign either tevez or dzeko as advanced forward. but i bet you probably in need of a deep lying playmaker

ive tried a new Formation 4-2-1-2-1 and ive got nasri playing in the centre of midfield jus laying the ball around for the advanced playmakers ( david silva and tevez ) and switching dzeko and aguero up front . seems to be working quite well
