I was just watching videos on YouTube and someone got promoted from the championship and got 40 million in TV revenue for their season in the premier league, so what good teams are there in the championship to be.
ok main Contenders in FM 11 are:
Cardiff
Middelsboro'
Nott's Forrest
Reading
Crystal Palace
To be completely honest the championship, almost every team in it is on the same level or near about quality wise, I would base your choice based on the board more than anything.
Its all about who you sign, Championship clubs arent loaded but the right signings can help you out massively
Nordfeldt is a quality young swedish goalkeeper who is easy to sign for £200k he wants around £3k a week in wages
Verkhovtsov is a brilliant belarussian who can play CB DM and CM naturally and is cheap at only £500k although to save costs I signed him for £600k over 3 years. With demand for him quite high you need to offer him about £5k a week
All championship clubs have good attackers so it is all about suring it up at the back
Make sure you have some wage budget left at christmas as well because the quaity of players that you can sign from abroad on frees that will be big help in the premier league is huge in the first year
I have won the league with several teams but my advice is Swansea they have a good squad to begin with and I found it easier to sell their fringe players to bulster their 900k starting transfer budget
I ended up choosing Leicester as their strikeforce is decent (Yakubu and Vassell) and 6 million transfer budget. I spent 3.2 mil on Tom Cairney who has bags of potential.
(I know you've already picked Leicester)
I'm currently doing a career with Burnley and they're a decent team to manage in the Championship. Decent attacking players like Jay Rodriguez, Martin Paterson and Chris Eagles got me the goals to win promotion via play-offs.
Just don't make the mistake of buying David Healy (playing with un-updated database), he's actually crap and scored 2 goals in about 15 appearances..
Try Preston or Portsmouth if you want a challenge.
