My problem is very simple! When I try to load my savegame from another pc the loading bar stops after progressing 20% and I get this message: The save game could not be loaded.
Has anyone seen this again? if I don't find a solution within 48 hours I won't be able to continue one of my best saves of my life!
Unfortunately, I am afraid that you will not be able to fix your savegame.. Have you tried opening it with Genie Scout too? Because if that doesn't work either, you can be certain that your savegame is corrupted and I hope for you that you have a backup of it somewhere or maybe a save of the same game but a few in-game months back?
Happened to me once - some other program crashed my computer while I was saving my game and it messed it up... Luckily I had an old save of that game, though it bumped me back a season. Since then I ALWAYS have at least 2 and preferably 3 saves running and I rotate between them every week in-game.
thanks for the reply... Genie scout could run it well in both pc's and it was not only one save game but a lot of them...
I found that it had to do with different patch and DVD vs steam version! I finally managed to fix everything.
By the way, I've faced the corrupted-save game too in the past. since then i save in different file every ten days (game time) so I'm sure i won't face it again...
