Job Offer

Hi Fm Lovers.

I started a new save with Nottm Forest approx a week ago and have just finished the first season and managed to successfully win the Coca-Cola championship with forest and next season earn the right to play premier league football although Sunderland have sacked steve bruce due to a bottom finish in the premiership and i have been offered the job. I have not decided or continued game yet as i am weighing up the pro's and cons.

Option 1 - Stay at forest
+ play in premier
+ possible european place if i have a really good season
- Not very good players
- Low transfer budget
- possible sacking if relegated

Option 2 - Accept Niall Quinn's position offer as Sunderland manager
+ Great team for Championship (Gordon, Gyan, Henderson, Turner etc)
+ Great stadium for championship
+ More than likely get promoted first attempt back into prem
+ Should have decent transfer budget
- Another year in the championship so low attendance expected for home games
- some of the big players will want to leave

do what you would do in real life. personally i would give it a shot with forest 1 season in premiership for loyalty's sake. but if i really felt sunderland was a step up then i would go.

The great thing I hav e found about a recently relegated team is that you would get a high wage budget in championship. Only problem is that you would lose players like henderson and gyan due to the relegation but you can still get a high fee for them. It is a great way to build a team anew. I once had the same situation with sunderland and sold almost all of their players to build a young team to play my style.

I have had a think about it and i am going to accept the Sunderland Job and try and get them promoted back into Premier League. I have never been sunderland and on many saves i have done they seem to get a heafty transfer budget.

I have only been with Forest for 1 season so dont feel that loyal.

If i can i might try to sign, Paul Anderson, Chris Cohen and Chris Gunter from Forest to help me achive promotion as they were star players for me.

Good choice on going Sunderland, I've done a career with them on all of the last few FMs because they're a great club to use. Great fan support for their reputation and this leads to good finances and better potential for becoming world beaters and since Sunderland have never really been a top team theres plenty of history to create.
