hello there, i have been following the site for ages and have recently decided to sign up to it following useful tips i have picked up. i started a season with arsenal and came 2nd in the 1st season, however i conceded far too many goals from set pieces, which was addressed with the signing of diego lugano, who is a beast in the air, i also replaced clichy with santon for £17m and sagna was sold for £16m with ottamendi for £10m. also van persie is far too injury prone, any good recomendations for a replacement? vela has come back from loan 2nd season and fills in quite well. Also purchased Hulk, which has proved to be a fantastic signing, with a goal every game more or less! but the main problem is fabregas, i played him cm, adv playmaker on support, but he has little or no influence on the game! when i play jack wilshire there he is immense! i have recieved £50m+ offers for fab, and i am seriously considering selling him, is jw a good enough replacement long term? any advice would be welcome! thanks :)
I normally play as arsenal and there are a few players that I sign that help me out.
At the end of the first season if you win a major tournament you can get £60m for fabregas. This will help you pay for aguero at a £40m buy out fee, only problem is he wants around 200k a week. The main thong to do is sign a good keeper and on this game the best would be Lloris for £25m or de Gea for £20m. Mertesacker is a good centre half playing along side vermaelen and you can pick him up for about £15m. Although if you are willing to develop a team djourou comes very good after a couple of years then you have a good 6 years or so with him and vermalen at the back being solid. I also advice picking up rodwell for £15m as he will become on of the best deep lying playmakers in the game
When i was arsenal i sold cesc to real madrid for £52m, Wilshere is alot better and cesc is on mega money

I always like to have quality players with reasonable wages so i got rid of cesc. keep playing Ramsey, if he gets the game time and stays fit he develops into a world class midfielder

As for van-persie, a quality player but just to injury prone, cannot string 5 games together without getting an injury, Vela good replacement

Take the £50m for cesc and bring in 2 x £25m players on £50k p/w
About Fabregas... is his rating just low or why do you consider him not being good? I am sure, from my own experience, that it's impossible to get him to play as good as in real life, but after games check match analysis, see his passing ratio, number of key passes, interceptions etc, don't judge him just on goals and dribblings, as he isn't too good at these, I would consider playing him as a deep lying playmaker with a higher mentality, like 12 clicks with a free role, he might need some time to get used to that, but then he is just very solid.

Wilshere is much more attacking minded than him, faster, better dribbler etc, and you might have set him to go forward, so probably that's why wilshere is doing so well there, dunno, I guess it depends on the formation that you play as well, he did well for me in a 4-2-3-1 as DLP.
I would use Fabregas in a deep playmaker role, his overall speed must affect his effectiveness going forward in FM, considering how much you can get for him I would probably sell him and bring in someone who has a bit more pace or the potential for more pace like Paulo Henrique.

As for Van Persie replacement, Augero is a good mention, Guiseppe Rossi would be a great signing but both are expensive, I'd also consider Lavezzi of Napoli.
