Blank Database

Hey I wanted to create my own database from the ground up. Is there anywhere I could download a blank database and try and do that. Seeing how I am relatively new to FM and Football in general the bizarre unrealistic database I would end up wouldn't really bother me that much and I think it would be fun to make.

How do you mean build a database? You want to add all the players yourself??? Or just add all the leagues? I think it would be best for you to first play with the editor a little and delete a countries competition and build something else in place of it

I have played FM 2011 for a couple of months now and I enjoy it. But as an american I like the idea of having one league, thats what we do here one baseball league, one basketball league, one football league ect. In order to make a FM game with only one league suited to my liking it would take me about 8,000 hours of deleting stuff in the game. So I would like a blank database where I could create one league.

So you want one league for all over the world?

Here, here and here, you can find some 'World-leagues' created by fellow players and I am sure there should be even more.

Though take in mind that these leagues are usually very badly balanced. I played a world league once and the game had enormous amounts of prize money which looked nice at the beginning - but it caused massive inflation and somehow the costs became even more outrageous, causing basically every big club to go bankrupt

Sounds quite realistic though in these times of.. loaning money.. spending money.. losing money.. loaning more money and eventually selling your club to some sort of oil big shot Although FC groningen has things quite under control

I played that league with FC Groningen and managed to get into the world premier after like 8 successive promotions But my shareholders kept 'stealing' so much money through dividends and my non-football costs (wages of the board...) were so high that I HAD to win the the cup and get into the top 3 of the league to be able to stay in the black numbers

Also, the CL and EL are usually very badly integrated in those databases... All the worlds 800 (or so) top-teams were put into an english division system. Meaning that only the 4 best teams would get into the CL from england.... So all the other teams in the CL and EL were the best of the shitty teams from other countries which were not in the 800 top teams (Heracles Almelo in CL semi-final xD)
