FM Genie Scout 26

2025-10-27 18:54#307915 Stam : After donating, you should receive an email with the download link, and another one containing the key file that essentially unlocks the 'g' edition to work properly.

The key file must be placed inside the installation folder. By default that is located at:

C:\FM Genie Scout 26g\

The download link for Beta 2 was meant for existing g users. If you downloaded the g edition without being a g user first, data will be wrong because you have no key file.

If I've bought "g" edition few years ago, do I have to pay again ?

If I've changed my computer since the first purchase, it will not be a problem ?

No you only need to email euguene to explain your computer has changed and you need new keys, but you only need to donate if you are upgrading from a previous geniescout version to a newer one as i understand it.

When I download the Beta 3 version of Genie Scout, a virus is detected by Windows Defender.
Anyone else having the same problem?

Same here.

I cant download the Beta 3 sent by e-mail from neither of the 3 links. Windowns Defender says all downloads contains a virus and auto-deletes the zip-file.

I've tried to download the build from here as well:

Same problem - file contains a virus and Windows Defender automatically deletes the download.



Windows Defenser says it discovored the following within the file:
Trojan:Script/Sabsik.FL.A!ml
File: C:\Users\X\Downloads\genie26g_setup_26.0.0_b1503.zip

webfile: C:\Users\x\Downloads\genie26g_setup_26.0.0_b1503.zip|https://downloads.fmscout.com/genie26g_setup_26.0.0_b1503.zip|pid:10368,ProcessStart:134061072776700920


That sucks.. Was really looking forward for the gender filter.

No problem with Windows Defender here. Downloaded and installed fine.
