have tried downloading from the email links and via the 04 version of the app on Chrome Opera and Edge but all fully download then disappear with the virus scan failed message. I had none of this drama on the previous rollouts? Can anyone help?
I dont know what anti virus you're using but I went to mine and found the download in my Quarantine section of mine and selected to allow the file and was good to go
no more issues with any future downloads from the same source either
I just use windows defender so not sure it has a quarantine section?
I've had the same error when trying from the 3 email links (regular and 2 mirrors) and the in-app link. All of them gave a malware warning and the file was deleted.
I can't decide if I want to just switch off the AV or wait for the next version!
I did the registry edit thing and it worked
- Reg edit thing is -
Press Windows + R, type regedit and press Enter.
Navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Attachments
Locate the ScanWithAntiVirus key:
If it does not exist, right-click on a blank space and select New > DWORD (32-bit) value named ScanWithAntiVirus.
Set the value to 1 or 0 (0 is to turn off virus scanning).
Restart your computer and test the download - Once its worked just revert it back to what you had before (3 in my case)
The game has just had a new hotfix anyway so 1505 probably won't work
