How to Get FM26 Hotfix Updates on Steam's Public Beta Track

Let's start with the premise.

From Wednesday this week (05/11), our next update will be available on Steam via public beta track and, subject to the submissions process, we’ll be aiming to roll that out to everyone quickly thereafter.

Now let's go through the steps to access the public beta updates on Steam.

How to Access FM26 Public Beta Updates on Steam

To access the beta-track branch on Steam, please follow the steps below:

1. Locate Football Manager 26 in the games list of your Steam Library, right-click on it and select Properties. 



2. Select the Betas tab on the left sidebar of the new window.



3. Click the Beta Participation dropdown list on the top right side and select “public_beta” 

The build can now be downloaded and then launched like any other Steam game.

Can I install the beta track version on Epic or Microsoft Store?

No, unfortunately, the Public Beta track is only available for Football Manager 26 purchases made on Steam.

Can I load FM23-FM26 save games on beta track version?

Yes, you can load FM23-FM26 save game on the Beta Track version.

Can I load the beta track save game on retail version?

Yes. Any progress made on these saves would only work with the retail version once it has been updated to the same game version as the Beta track.

How to revert to the retail version?

To revert to the Football Manager 26 retail version, you'll need to do the following:

• In Steam Library, right-click on Football Manager 26 -> Properties -> Betas
  
• In the Beta Participation dropdown list, select 'None'
  
• Click the X button to exit the pop-up windows
  
• Football Manager 26 should automatically update to the retail version

The Beta track version of FM26 will allow you to preview upcoming fixes for issues that may be affecting your game.

There's no option YET because the first hotfix update is not available. We should get the option once the first update goes live in a few minutes.
