Using 'soccer' in press conferences

It's such a small thing but it drives me nuts, in press conferences in FM26 the have stopped using the term football and started using soccer,

'Can you make first place your own'

'I don't see why not, it will be tough but thats SOCCER'

In earlier versions of FM the term used was football and now it has changed to soccer. Any theories on why it if it can be changed as it really gives me the sh!ts
Up there with "Player of the match" for me.....its "Man of the Match" FFS.....this is mens football...WHY OH WHY !!

I just realised its because the game defaulted to US English, I changed in preferences to English and it became Football again

Shame we cant do that with the BBC wokely liberal lefties that present FOOTBALL, there should be separate programmes for lady football, for those interested in it
