Hi,
Thanks for any advice on this.
Team - Middlesbrough, good attacking players, average defensive players, not bad, just average (star ratings).
Season 1 - 2nd in championship best attack in the league, average defence in the Data Hub.
Issue: Concerned about my defence being a big weakness in the coming first season in the Premiership. strengthened via transfer window but need advice if there's any simple ways or obvious flaws in my tactical approach that could be simple fixes. Wish to keep the formation and attack style, maybe switch player roles, some TI's or PI's for just that little bit extra defensive stability. are there any obvious conflicts in instructions that would cause issues?
Formation IP:
----------------BGK
------CB------BCB-----CB
WB------------------------------WB
----------MPM------CM
------------------AP
---------CHF--------CFD
IP TI's - Short passing, lower tempo, width narrower, attack transition - standard, creative = more expressive, play through press, progress though middle, work ball into box, other things on balanced.
PI's - MPM and AP can roam. WB's more direct passing and take fewer risks, dribble less (they used to try and run the full length :D)
OOP Formation:
----------------SK
-------SCB---CCB---SCB
WB----DM--------DM------WB
----------------CM
-----------CFD-----TCF
OOP TI's:
Mid Block
line = standard
line behaviour = standard
trigger press = more often
defensive transition = counter press
tackling = standard
Stop crosses
