I haven't played FM for about 6-7 years and I'm just getting back into it with FM26. I'm having a persistent issue with custom skins. Even though I move the files to the specified folder, the game crashes immediately upon launch.
While the skin background sometimes appears, the menu names show garbled/broken text, or the game simply closes before I can do anything. This happens with every skin I try.
I am placing the files into: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 26\fm_Data\StreamingAssets\aa\StandaloneWindows64
My questions are:
Am I making a mistake with this file path for FM26?
Do we still need to delete a "cache" folder before installing skins? If so, where is the current directory for it?
What could be causing the UI text to break and the game to crash like this?
