Genie Scout not working after update: Please add all the posts related to this topic into this forum post.

Hello,

There are a lot of posts related to the same subject being created every couple of weeks.

Whenever Football Manager gets updated — and we’ve had many updates this year — the Genie Scout app also needs to be updated in order to work with the new game version.

Stam is not responsible for updating the app. The developer is Eugene, and he works on the app in his free time. That being said, Stam is always contacting him and asking for the update to be released as soon as possible.

Creating repeated posts about the same issue every time the game is updated will not make the problem get solved any faster.

You currently have four options:

1) Pay for the Exclusive version.

2) Wait for the public release of the updated version.

3) Stop updating your game until the public version of the app is released.

4) use free version of FM LIVE EDITOR

hi i have installed the new update of genie scout 26 G edition after the recent update of fm26, however when i load it up, it says it has loaded but i cant actually use it. It wont open on screen. Is anyone else having this issue or can help? Thanks

My genie was working a week ago but now i'm getting the "Football manager is not found" message after updating to the newest genie version. The directories seem to be point to the correct place.

Any advice?

Yeah i'm on the latest version

That's weird. I don't usually use the app, but I downloaded it to check and didn't have any issues.

Try reinstalling the app. Uninstall it first and remove the rest folder/files before reinstalling - maybe that will help.

I think I may have an issue with FM Genie 26g.

I noticed today that when I load Genie, the date on the bottom right hand side of the screen states 01.07.25. The actual game date is 27.11.25. My assumption is that Genie is not syncing to the correct date.

I have updated to the latest version. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled since spotting this, but it still states the same date.

Can anyone help? Steve

I already reinstall the game, the genie scout and the message "your game data is not found" persist. Can you help me?

just continue te game for a day and load the GScout again.

I don't think it's a skin issue. Assuming you're using Steam, try verifying the game files first. Then uninstall GScout, delete any leftover files from the installation folder, and install the latest version from scratch.
