Hi everyone,
I am currently working on a custom database in Football Manager 2026 using the Pre-Game Editor on Mac and I have run into several issues that I cannot resolve.
My goal is to create a custom setup for Swedish lower leagues and add custom graphics to the database.
What I am trying to do:
• Make Swedish Division 3 playable
• Replace one of the existing clubs in a Division 3 league
• Create three new players in the Pre-Game Editor and assign them to that club
• Add AI-generated faces for those players
• Add a custom club logo
The database edits themselves work, but the graphics do not appear in game.
What I have already tried:
• Creating the correct graphics folder structure
• Placing player face images and club logos in the graphics folder
• Creating config.xml files mapping IDs to images
• Trying both ID-based filenames and config mapping
• Clearing the game cache and restarting the game
• Disabling generated faces in the settings
• Verifying the save location used by the game
• Restarting both Steam and the game
Despite this:
• The player faces do not appear (grey silhouette)
• The club logo does not appear
• At one point the editor data files were not detected, which made me suspect the game might be reading a different user data directory.
I am currently playing on Mac via Steam, so it may also be related to the Mac file path.
Does anyone know:
• The correct method for assigning faces to new players created in the Pre-Game Editor
• The correct folder structure for custom logos and faces in FM26
• Whether there are any known issues with custom graphics on Mac
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
