Cannot conitnue game. Game Stuck on response required! Help!

My save wont let me continue as 'response required' - i asked my board for new affiliates - then i get 2 news items asking if i want to select affiliate.
i choose my first one - all ok.
but on the 2nd one it shows me the options, but i cannot select one, i click reject all - but then it doesnt seem to accept that and then wont let me continue game as response required.
i am trapped in the day...
can anyone advise how i can solve and continue my save!!
(for some reason dont have a back up save point!!)

just go on holiday for one day.

I have similar problem in the first save with Talavera.

Maybe simply going more recommendation I've never seen this happen to me so far.

This new fm has some many problems that everything is possible.

In my case the issue is when player has cold and you cannot address that but going on holiday solve the problem.
