hello there.... long time no post.
i was just posting to enquire about members thoughts on the worst signings of all time, after having a very deep conversation on this topic in the pub this evening.

my top 3 candidates:

Ali Dia - Southampton.... after his agent rang Graeme Souness claiming to be George Weah.... Souness was persuaded to sign Ali Dia based on lies. On his Debut he came on as a substitute, only to himself be substituted. voted the worst player ever to play for southampton haha

Juan Sebastian Veron - £28m to Man Utd.... for a then record transfer, failed miserably to live up to expectations.

Juan Sebastian Veron - £15m to Chelsea.... after failing for Man Utd, Chelsea signed him for half his price... which still proved to be rediculously overpriced

P.S. any catastrophic FM signings would be nice to hear.
zlatan ibrahimovic to barca, he cost them €50-60mil and sold him for half to milan the next year

Well, it made the news here and I am not sure for the right reasons though.

Recent goal-fest between Kettering Town and Hayes and Yeading in the BSP. H&Y won 5-3, but....if you were Mark Stimson, would you say Moses Ashokodi?

Ashikodi has his penalty attempt saved, which Jean-Paul Marna had wanted to take...

From the resulting injury time corner, Marna scored.

Before the restart (and the final whistle), a bit of "how's your father" occurred between them and both strikers were red carded for biffo.

Opps.
Honestly, I hope that Torres will not become one of them.. He's on the track of becoming one though..
He looks more and more sharp! As a Liverpool supporter it hurts to see him with Chelsea shirt, but I hope for Torres personal he will return as the play he once was. I belive Premier League need the old Torres
And what do you think about Andy Carroll? I have to admit that I do not follow the PL every week, but I have heard surprisingly little about him, especially if one considers the fee for him. Is he any good? If not, why in the world did Liverpool buy him for 50% more than they bought Suarez?! (Who was already considered overpriced by many Dutch football fans)
as a spurs fan, Rebrov still gives me nightmares

i rated veron highly at manchester? must be drugs or something then.

shevenko?
saying tht newcastle to me have made so many hugo vianna, luque spring to mind
Carroll is a good player, but worth £30m...? No chance. I think that Newcastle did extremely well to get that for him, and they've invested that money pretty well with Santon, Ba and others.

Adrian Mutu to Chelsea turned out pretty bad with Mutu's drug troubles along with not exactly great form. Thinking about it, Chelsea have made some pretty poor signings. Mutu, Shevchenko and potentially Torres(?).

My worst FM buy was David Healy for Burnley. Blew the majority of my budget on him and only returned 2 goals in 20ish appearances (gave up with him in the end). Average rating was pretty.. well.. average, but thankfully Rodriguez got us a lot of goals!

Also about Ali Dia, wasn't the George Weah link actually the agent pretending that Ali Dia was George Weah's newphew?
Jô to Man City for $28m.
