Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some help with the Football Manager editor and custom databases.

For quite some time, I've been working on a project focused on🌍African football. My goal is to create a database that modernizes African international competitions and makes them much more engaging, especially by replacing most 🤝international friendlies.

The main idea is to create an 🏆African Nations League divided into four regional conferences, based on the CAF 🗺️regional unions:

Teams :

East : Madagascar, Soudan du Sud , Malawi, Somalie , Ouganda, Comores, Djibouti, Maurice, Kenya, Rwanda, Réunion, Seychelles, Tanzanie, Ethiopie, Burundi, Mayotte or La Reunion

South : Afrique du Sud, Centrafrique,Tchad, Sao Tomé-et-Principe, RD Congo, Gabon, Mozambique, Guinée Équatoriale, Cameroun, Zambie, Congo, Eswatini, Angola, Zimbabwe, Namibie, Lesotho

West :

Zone A
Sénégal, Mauritanie, Guinée Bissau, Liberia, Cap-Vert, Guinée, Gambie, Sierra-Leone

Zone B 🔥
Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Ghana, Bénin, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Niger, Togo

North: 🔥
Maroc, Egypte, Algérie, Tunisie, Soudan, Libye

format :

🐪North (UNAF): 6 nations.

🐘West: 16 nations .

🏝️East: 16 nations.

☀️South: 16 nations.

The West conference would be split into two sections (A and B), each with two groups of four teams. After the group stage, there would be semi-finals and a final to determine the conference winner, with the four conference champions qualifying for a continental ⭐Final Four.

I also want to redesign the 🏆Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers to match the planned 28-team format for the 2027 and 2028 editions. Since almost half of the African national teams would qualify for the final tournament, the qualification process could be completed in around six months.

Another idea is to redesign the 🏆CAF Champions League by introducing a system closer to the European model, where associations earn more qualification spots based on their football development, performances, and investment. As far as I know, Egypt has proposed something along these lines, and CAF has reportedly been studying the idea.

I think it’s a shame too, because Africa is a continent where everything is yet to be built; besides, it’s FM. It’s a challenge that could prove interesting, such as in Asia and South America, where databases exist

My problem is that I simply can't get these changes to work in the Football Manager editor. Every time I try to validate the competitions, the database fails validation or is rejected by the editor. I'm completely stuck and can't figure out what's causing the issue.

I've also noticed that there are very few African football databases available beyond the default leagues included in the game, which is a shame because I think there's so much potential.

If anyone has experience with the advanced rules editor, international competitions, or 📁African football databases in FM📻, I would really appreciate any advice or help.

Thank you very much!
