Playing as Juventus, just got halfway through the first season. Juventus has like 4-5 old italian strikers that all have huge salaries and never seem to do anything when i use them. mirko vucinic, who according to my coaches is a quality player, didn't get a league goal for like 13 games or something, so hes gone. I've sold quagliarela, luca toni, and vucinic. i've tried to sell amauri and iaquinta as well, but no luck, at least their contracts expire pretty soon. del piero im going to keep for another year, hes useless now as a striker but is still deadly on set pieces.
i've picked up yaya sanogo and alberto paloschi as well, but neither are ready to be a solid starter yet. i also got lucky and sold milos krasic for 30mil(US dollars) and managed to get antonio valencia for only 9 mil, with about the same salary.
so i have a transfer budget of over 35 mil(my board only gives me 45%, if they gave me more I would have at least 60).....i'm also trying to sell a couple more backups, so that number will be a little higher. the problem is in serie a you cant buy more than 2 non-EU players each season, and i already have, so i need striker with European citizenship. the problem is that almost everyone i scout says they are unwilling to join my team. i know there are ways to get around that but i've never had much luck.
i would like to spend the whole remaining budget on one really good player, preferably in the ages of 23-28. ive already scouted a lot of good strikers, but i'm sure i am missing a few. i would totally buy seydou doumbia (i played 5 seasons of cska moscow in '11) but he isn't European so I can't.
Sorry for being so long winded, I probably could have gotten my point across in about half the time. But any help would be appreciated because the transfer window is going to end pretty soon and I don't want to continue the game until I have some targets.
My highest recommendation would be Giuseppe Rossi, you'll likely have to pay the full £35M of his release clause but I'd be willing to bet he'll be worth it.
Kevin Gameiro of PSG looks like a good player but would likely cost £30M. I'd also recommend adding Vaclav Kadlec to your team, he will become one of the best strikers in the game, will cost between £5-10M, has decent ability already and progresses really quickly.

I've been trying to get Podolski (not quite as good as in FM11 but I think would fit well into my formation) who also has no interest, but all the admire/declare interest options have not changed anything.
Kadlec looks like a good pickup, if I can't figure out an expensive striker to buy I will divide the budget amongst a few cheaper players and he looks like a good call.

Well for my first season, Rooney got injured and i decide to give Welbeck a chance. it paid off putting him as a poacher. 43 matches 28 goals 10 assist

but you should be able to buy abel hernandez unless he's already been sold since you CAN you non EU players from other Italian clubs, right?
you can get Edinson Cavani from Napoli or Abel Hernandez from Palermo... im pretty sure you can buy non-EU players from other Italian teams.
There is the German Mario Gomez and Lukas Podolski Or one of the Spanish strikers, Fernando Llorente, Alvaro Negredo, Roberto Soldado or even Alberto Gilardino?
Daniel Sturridge! If he hasn't already been signed on loan by somebody else. You can get him on loan with no fee and 50% wage contribution. I signed him for Newcastle and he was the major factor in propelling my average side into a top 4 finish and a league cup win! He scored 45 goals in all competitions and if he had of been interested in a permanent move when I enquired to Chelsea they were ready to let him go for around £8m the fools. Anyway onto my second season without him I needed a replacement and went for Abel Hernandez for £12m as he was up for sale following Palermo's relegation. Also got Paloschi on a free transfer which I arranged as soon as was allowed in late December

So I got Daniel Sturridge. I tried to get Abel Hernandez but they wanted way too much money. I have Sturridge on loan for 50% wages and a future fee of 20mil, which maybe is a bit more than some of you have payed for him but I'm happy with it. My first team is fairly solid so I will spend the rest of my budget on under 20 players, I might also get Cristian Eriksen since he is fairly cheap and apparently turns into one of the best players

(17 fin and pace, pretty damn nice.) And for an oldie: Didier Drogba, Or if you have 23m: Giuseppe Rossi.
