My Board are still approving training and facility upgrades, but after my showing in the League Cup and League Two with Maidenhead in 2013 (yes, I am still running FM2011), I went searching for a parent club. Asking for either a parent or feeder club has not yielded a result thus far, but now..........
Parent club: Chelsea!!!
Means I have got some (well, one so far) loaners - a Spanish striker who I have used off the bench and to be fair, looks better at the moment that any of the other strikers I have in my armoury. As luck would have it, striker is one of the positions I have depth it. In the same breath, I have just paid 2.3M for a young French out and out striker to join in June.
I'll take it for the friendly and the gate take, but my Board now won't let me either build or expand the stadium. I'm going to be in League One, with a annual friendly against a top EPL club, with a cruddy little 4500 seater stadium....I'm going to be thinking of the money. :-)
Are there any other benefits to having this type of arrangement?
