After failling miserably in my 1st season on football manager with Arsenal I decided to do a Season with a club with less pressure as a manager. I thought id love the experience of a relegation battle, so I decided to manage Norwich.
1st League match:
Etihad Stadium ( City of Manchester Stadium)
Manchester City 3-3 Norwich City
Although playing a hard match which was expected to lose, and went 2-0 down in 1st half, my side never looked like losing and match man city all the way through the match. Played very well with a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. Goals times scored : Lescott 4th min, Aguero 7th min, Grant Holt 23rd min, Vincent Kompany own goal 45th min, Sergio Aguero 55th min, Wes Hoolahan 65th min.
2nd League Match:
Carrow Road
Norwich City 0-0 Sunderland.
Besides the fact the match ended goal-less the game was dominated by Norwich thanks to the midfield of Fabian Delph(signed from villa £3.5M, Bradley Johnson, Danny Fox and Hoolahan. Sunderland did have good chances with free kicks from Sebastian Larsson and Sessegnon.
Carling Cup 2nd round:
Adams Park
Wycombe Wanderers 1-5 Norwich City
Easily Dominated match, in fairness wycombe did score a good teamworked goal but norwich were to strong, Goals from Simeon Jackson (11,80) Leon Barnett (20) anthony pilkington (54) and Steve Morison (54), Luke Rodgers scored Wycombe's goal (41)
3rd League Match:
Villa Park Stadium
Aston Villa 1-0 Norwich City
In long parts in the game Villa Dominated but hardly created chances besides the 2th minute long driving strike for Stilian Petrov, the 4-1-2-1-2 formation again caused problems for the opposition defence but unfortunately could not unlock it.
4th League Match:
Carrow Road Stadium
Norwich City 1-2 Liverpool
