Hey everyone! After a brief discussion with Stam, I am going to attempt to make a guide on the Genie Scout interface, to try and explain what everything on it means, and how it can make you a better scout as well as becoming a more useful utility.

This thread will serve the purpose of collecting any questions you might have about Genie Scout and I will try to finish the guide before Eugene launches the final Genie Scout 12.

So please feel free to ask anything, and I will attempt to provide an answer in my guide! Thanks again and Happy Fm'ing!
Hi!
when come gs12 out?
when i can play with gs12 is the game complete!
thnx for your time!

I'm not sure about the final version, but the first one should arrive in a week from now or so.

I think a good way to start would be to write down a generic plan as in a table of contents type of thing. But you seem to know your game, so I trust you to come up with a decent result.
in a week? Perfect! Your the best mate!

Exactly what I had in mind, except I'm writing the whole thing first then seeing what the best way to organize it is. Coming along nicely so far.
Great idea! It will be good to have one!

With not much thougt on it, I think it will be good to include some good explanation about position ratings, and about predictions of player abilities (potential values and that kind of stuff).
Well, looking forward to read your guide! I will write any other idea that pops up in my mind!
(sorry if my english isn't the best)

Thank you for the support! I will tryo to explain it as best as I know and can! I will try and keep it as up to date as possible to allow for changes and will try to answer as many questions as possible. Again any idea or question you may have please feel free to ask.

Stam, already we're about to pass one week.

Would we use GS12 until this Friday night?

Thanks for your and Eugene's effort...
Guide is a good idea.

Maybe try to include some example scenarios of increasing complexity.

e.g. starting with looking for free players or for wonderkids or something.

Building up to searching for specific players with CA of >x and of a certain position and of certain nationality.

Or something like that.

Also a tip might be to have 2 instances of Genie running - one with your own squad and one for looking for improvements.

Good luck...hopefully i learn something ;)

Most likely, yes. The program is ready, but there is some detail that we need to take care of before releasing it in public.

Thanks for the reply and good luck with working on it.

Isn't this already possible? I do this all the time right now (i.e. with GS 11, FM 11).
I would just include the information needed to get the best players possible on any given budget.

For instance, I have a method I use to get teams from conference leagues (Blue Square South) to the Premiership with consecutive promotions, based around matching CA to the league standard, that might be useful for promotion hopefuls and highlight the importance of the development stars in telling you if a player will reach his potential or not.

I saw Eugene was having success with saved games. Is there anything holding Genie up? Would be nice to have a play with it this weekend on a fresh game!

Yeah it is, and something i do too but maybe people (especially new users) don't think of it.
