k.jones for me
Woah! Look what I have missed since my thesis frozen me up! Glad to be back here...:satisfied

Who made this poll? why on earth ROQUE SANTA CRUZ is not there? Blackburn bought him cheap and he came from a different league and has so far done and settled very well considering this is his first season. 19 Goals for Blackburn and if I were to choose the signing of the season it's a close gap between Santa Cruz and Torres.

RedArmy, how are you doing there mate? been a while, huh? =D
ROFL.. =D

Red, I know you are a fan of Manyoo but that is not supposed to cloud your judgment regarding Torres as a signing of the season. I see your point when you said he was brought with a hefty price tag and he has fulfilled the expectation so far. But, isn't it what makes him fit to the category signing of the season? Mind you, he's from a different league and style of football and it has been agreed that foreign players need minimum a year to adapt the rhythm of EPL. Shevchenko failed big times with this and many other big signings need more times to settle (Malouda anyone?).

Nani and Anderson were also considerably good signings but their role is not as significant as Torres' role in bringing Liverpool to where they are now. 30 goals and counting for his first season is a brilliant achievement! He has been a revelation and that's why without a doubt he's got to be the signing of the season.

Santa Cruz has got to be there as well, as his situation is more like Torres (is from a different league and adjusts really well in a new environment!). Bakary Sagna was a good shout, as well as Sunderland's Jones.

for a team like sunderland?? he did really good.

did anyone expect anything from him? no nobody did.

he became a valuable player for sunderland. there is no way he cant be up there with the best signings of the season.

I'm not doubting the fact he's up there. How can he win? For a team like Pisspool, Torres did a lot.

Expectations are all objective, so shouldn't really come into it mate. You better learn that.

If Jones is up there, Bakary Sagna should be, Santa Cruz is far more deserving than Jones, Lassana Diarra has been magic for Pompey, Tevez really held Manchester together when Cuntaldo was playing shite, Defoe proved his point to Tottenham, no idea why they played Keane over him.

I hope you think far more about your posts from now on, have a nice day. :p
