I get the following message when loading my saved same in genie:

Access Violation at address 00756425 in module 'FMGenieScout.exe'.
Read of address 0000000.

I've tired compressed and uncompressed files. Changing the saved games file name. Reinstalling running as admin. Changing compatibility. Nothing seems to work.

Maybe I'm being a complete novice but any advice is welcome
Got the same problem, so annoying!
The key file must be placed inside the folder Genie Scout 12g, the same folder FMGenieScout.exe is.
If you placed the key file in the proper place and still get error, please upload your savegame with the problem for Eugene to check and fix.

P.S. Removed the duplicate thread.
think ive loaded the key file in the right place now. The only message i am getting is the 'Access Violation' message.

any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

I have loaded my save game and an image of the error message.

Thanks in advance for any help!

stam,

could this be due to editing the database?

could this be due to editing the database?

Yes it's possible.

Please post your savegame link and screenshot here, don't create another topic about the same thing.
Here is mine too

hope it helps

Save Game

Thanks for the help
removing the editor data files when starting a new file seems to solve this problem
#35660 feelingverycold : removing the editor data files when starting a new file seems to solve this problem

How do you do that then??

:/
It works!! Did what 'feelingverycold' said, started a new game and before started unticked my data editor files. It seems this issue is to do with a database that has been edited before.

Thanks for help everyone!!
