I have put the key in the correct folder also
i have the exact same problem with mine
look at luka modric' name, every single player in genie scout is like that but with different crazy names, the whole chelsea team have full on chinese names like? can u fix the problem for me please this is genie scout 12g
A little update. I downloaded the genie scout from the site (not the G version) and it works OK. It seems the problem is related with the G version only!!!
It has to be related with the key file. Check if the Unique ID you provided Eugene with is the same with the Unique ID that your GS shows now. Basically make sure that you're using the same computer with the one you've got the Unique ID from because the key file only works for that ID, and it's unique per computer.
Can anyone help on which folder they "key-file"needs to go in when using the G version on a mac?

Go to the app (WineBottler), click on the "search" icone next to the Genie scout file (magnifying glass) to open Genie Scout directory. Then, open the "drive_c", open the "FM Genie Scout 12g" folder and paste the key there.
Ok Stam, I get it now. My old computer, which was the one I provided the Unique ID to Eugene, is broken, and about a week ago I bought a new one. So that explains why I can not get GSg to work. If I a send a new ID to Eugene will he send me a new key file? Or would I have to make a new donation. Thanks.

I also have this problem with 12g. My old laptop broke and I had to buy a new one...
