Advise for a new manager?

First let me say that I'm glad I found this website and community for this great game, hopefully you all can help out a frustrated American who keeps getting fired.

I have been using the Colorado Rapids in the MLS, my favorite club, and find myself struggling to make it through a season intact. Some questions I have are;

When setting up your game does it matter if your manager has had any past experieince playing, does this change the difficulty?

Should I focus on Staff or Players from the get-go, I have tried combinations of both, i've tried spending my budget on transfers, i've tried saving my money and investing in youth members for the future, but no matter what I keep getting fired.

Maybe i should pick a different club/league or would this change anything? Are there clubs that are easier to use?

So many questions, auto-coach training? In-game tactics? Shouts? I've gotten about 15-20 hours in and am really enjoying the game but am getting rustrated at the same time.

Are there mods I should get that would help?

Yes. It matters if your manager has had any past experieince playing, it makes really high reputation players come to your club rather easily, but it does not makes game difficult. So I would recommend starting with highest level.

I would recommend that you start with a very big and/OR rich club just to build your knowledge and then start game in MLS. TRY managing Manchester United or Manchester City so that you have loads of funds, good players n coaches to start with !
