Hi all,

This is my first ever football manager story. After having the game for around three weeks now, I've only ever done games in the lower leagues of England. This turned out to be great for me as I won the BSN with Solihull Moors and the BSS with Woking. Then the other i thought to my-self I want to try out the English premier division but who to be?

After many hours of thinking who to be, it had to be Manchester city. With a squad, that is looking like they have been playing together for years. After hitting Manchester United for 6 on their own patch and putting 4 or 5 away at Tottenham it had to be city I started with.

So Manchester City would by my latest team on FM 2012. I hope everybody doesn't think I've gone for the easy route to success. Because my aim is to slowly have most of the England squad at city.
Start of season expectations:

The board have discussed that as a team we should be challenging for the title this season. I have been given £42mill and a wage budget of £2.7mil per week in order to do this. My aims for the season are:

Premier League: Finish in the top two.
League Cup: Look to win this.
F.A. Cup: Look to win this.
Champions League: Quarter Finals
Community Shield: Look to win this

As we all know City have a big squad, therefore I feel my aims for the season are achievable. The money i have been given and the money I'm looking to bring in from transfers I feel that two or three English players will be brought into the squad.

Next update: Pre-season and summer transfers.
Good start with your story keep it up! Make sure you don't try and buy all the best players in the world and try and develop youngsters into your team

After this we then went on to to score nine goals in our next two games. The final two games saw us win and Adam Johnson kept up what too be a great pre-season for him. Good to see got 25 million out of Tevez but where did he go. Why buy Bridge when you already had Clichy and Kolarov. You might as well should of sold Kolarov instead of loan.
hey CarlH94 i think your gonna regret letting kolarov go ? . hes the best left back city have . hes attacking and hes a beaast from free kicks from pretty much any distance. i think you should invest in a centre back . try looking at craig dawson from west brom i think hes only 20 -21 but hes good .
Scarbs11 Tevez went to Real Madrid and the loan deal with kolarov is with the option to buy. Toonman8589 ill look at this lad and ill let you know in my next update whether i buy him.
I recommend Phil Jagielka he is a beast for me in the 2 seasons I have been Man City, he did cost me £18 million but it is well worth the money to be honest, people think that i paid over the odds for him but Im happy with him
