[Bug] Automatically opening ads in multipe IE windows

I have downloaded both versions and when I open Genie it automaticly starts opening ads in Internet Explorer and in no time I have 20-30 windows open. I have never had this problem before. I am using Windows 7...

Is there a way to fix this?

EDIT: reinstalled it to my documents and solved the problem.

Thanks for posting your workaround.

Someone else with similar problem reported it was an issue with the firewall blocking Genie Scout, and as a result it was fixed once he unblocked it there.
