#38495 toonman8589 : good story so far UKgodfather. as im a newcastle supporter myself i would like to see u get them back where they belong ( premier league & europe )

must have been hard letting go of collocini and ba cause the latter is newcastles best striker.

give those toon army fans something to cheer about this year !!!!

Making some progress with Newcastle United and will post an update tomorrow.

It was very difficult getting rid of Demba Ba and Fabricio Coloccini but I really struggled to keep them happy and keep there morale high because they are Premier League players playing at the the foot of the Championship.

I feel it would of been more damaging keeping them at the club as a few players started to follow suit but a few Team Meetings after there sale seemed to settle things down and results are following,

With the signing of Francis Thomas i believe he is a great replacement for Fabricio Coloccini which will be shown tomorrow on my update.

Can i just say thank you for everyone one who has viewed this Story and for people who have commented on it, as it is my first Story i would like to hear what you think so far and how i can improve my team further.
A very up and down season so far still struggling for consistency, my away form has been terrible which has really pulled me back down the league but in my home matches has seemed to show some quality my team has to offer, as you can see in the 3-2 Victory over Tottenham in the Carling Cup which was a great sign of the quality i have at my disposal, also victorys against Derby and Millwall showcased even further.

Away form has been poor with defeats against Reading and West Ham, but it is the Draws which is troubling me as i have had 7 so far in the season after just 13 game which is not good enough.

Newcastle United is currently sitting at 18th in the Championship after 13 Games 3 Victorys, 7 Draws and only 3 Defeats, as you see the draws are hitting my points tally very hard but feel confident in the Newcastle squad that we can turn them draws into Victorys.

my main issue I'm having is that i never really replaced Demba Ba with a suitably replacement so a good forward is my main target in the January Transfer Window.
First of all.......HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!! Hope you all had a great one. :)

Now onto my story, as you all know I've been having a difficult season in charge of Newcastle United with poor away form, poor discipline and too many draws, because of this i decided to take a very hands on approach towards my management, first i decided to take charge of team-talks, have more team meetings and prise players more often when possible.

This attitude towards my beloved Newcastle United has turned my form around and turned them draws into victory's.

as you can see from the 4-0 against Leeds United on the 21/12/2013

until the 3-2 victory against Reading on the 04/02/2014 i played 10 matches Won 9 and lost only once because of this terrific run of games it has pushed me from relegation battle to promotion candidates.

Nice run, keep it up and win the Championship ;]
One of my best Victory's happened in the run i had between Leeds united to Reading and that was my 1-0 victory against Manchester United in the 4th round of The FA Cup .

My exceptions going into this match was not high, my main concern was not to get beet by a big margin but when half time came and it was 0-0 i felt that i could sneak a goal and maybe win the match especially since my goal keeper Tim Krul was in fine form, and the 2nd half started and i nicked a goal straight away which settled my team and we went onto to win 1-0, Terrific result for Newcastle United against at that point the team at the top of the Premier League.

I hoped to maybe go on a Cup run to see if i could sneak a place into the Europa League but that ended in the 5th Round of the FA Cup against Southampton when we got beat 2-0 at home witch was a massive disappointment for me and my Squad.

I had a small downturn in form after my great run but that was to be expected, but what i never expected was to lose 5 games in a row.

These defats were very difficult for Newcastle United as they are against the teams around me mainly West Ham who are top of the Championship and Southampton in the Fa Cup

this form seriously hampered my Championship league position and i dropped to 7th just outside the playoff place, things had to change................................
Another Team Meeting was on the cards and this one had to be a good one since it was going to go into the end of the Championship season and it went well with Fifteen responding well towards the meeting and it showed in the following matches.

11 matches till the end of the season and i won 10 and drew only 1 which secured me the 3rd spot in the championship and a spot in the in playoffs, i feel very confident i can complete my goal of brining Premiership football back to Tyneside.

Some notable wins are my 4-1 Victory against my fierce rivals Sunderland, because of that win confidence grew and performances followed, plus its great to get one over on the rivals.

BRING ON THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UKgodfather, what have you done with your team? You can not get back in the premier league? How do you manage to win so many games, even when team morale is superb that many games lose again? Newcastle deserves to play in premier league!!! All the best and try a little better!! :)
Some big performances this season from unlucky players have helped me to go on a spectacular runs and into the Playoffs.

First is the Star signing Francis Thomas 18 year old French player and I rate him as one of my best players in my team, also my favourite player very good in the air and even scored 7 goals this season, but after 52 games in all competitions his average rating is a very good 7.12.

he has also won the Young Player of the Month Award 3 times this season.

my second player i wish to talk about was Harris Vuckic who banged in some very important goals for Newcastle and ended on 12 goals in the Championship this season, but again his average rating has impressed me a respectable 7.04 after 37 games.

the last player i believe has been a big reason for my 3rd place finsh in the Championship and into the playoffs is a brilliant defender called Davide Santon he has been the rock at the heart of my defence this season, and has 12 assist since he is great at corner kicks, but another big performer with an average rating of 7.13 after 47 matches this season.

but he has been attracting some interest from some bigs teams in europe even with an asking price of £100 million, it will be a struggle to keep him at Newcastle next season unless i get into the Premier League which i feel very confident about.
