#38133 CantGetEnoughOfJelavic : Hey! Some great work going on. I love seeing Celtic near the bottom <3.

Amazed to see David Silva not making it into your side. That just shows the strength of your side.

Keep it up.

Yeh I enjoy seeing it as well and the 1-0 victory over them just made it that little bit sweeter :D

David Silva is unfortunate as Dean Shiels has been performing well on the left wing it has push Silva to the subs bench. However, if I cannot extend Shiels loan till the end of the season Silva will definitely be stepping into the team especially if he performs as well as he did in the Inverness game, scoring his first goal of the season in his first start. Shiels is however out injured at the moment so Silva will be getting a chance to show what he can do for the time being.
Just thought I'd post this

Matchday 14

Away to Rangers

Formation: 4-2-2-2

Line-Up:

..................Bell..................
..Pursehouse..Kroca..Pascali..Panikvar..
..........Harkins.....Fowler............
..Dayton......................Silva.....
........Heffernan......Galan............

Subs: Caldwell, Buijs, Sissoko, Racchi, Kelly, Kennedy, Gros

Result

Lost 3-0

This game was a game of two halfs. The first half we played well and pushed Rangers all the way so much so we had a couple of chances to take the lead. The second half however was a shambles. Discipline seemed to go out the window and cards started flying around including a red to panikvar which meant a tactical re-shuffle with no subs left. Then the goals started to come which effectively ended the game with 20 minutes to go.

Matchday 15

Away to Hibernian.

Formation: 4-2-2-2

Line-Up:

..............Bell..............
..Buijs..Sissoko..Pascali..Hay..
.......Harkins...Stewart........
..Dayton.................Silva..
.......Heffernan..Gros..........

Subs: Jaakola, Kroca, Pursehouse, Kelly, Racchi, Kennedy, Galan

Results

Lost 1-0

A bad display by the team as we never really got into the game. After the goal things just went from not good to horrible as Hibernian played keep ball and we never had a chance. We are still in 2nd for now but if we continue to loss game that we really should be winning we won't be there for long.

Matchday 16

Home to Rangers

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Line-Up:

..................Jaakola...............
..Pursehouse..Pascali..Sissoko..Hay.....
..............Kelly.....Fowler..........
..Dayton.........Harkins.......Silva....
...................Gros.................

Subs: Bell, Kroca, McKeown, Racchi, Stewart, Kennedy, Galan

Result

Lost 2-0

With some poor form Bell was dropped to the bench while Heffernan was dropped altogether after 4 games without a goal. Also a change in formation was applied to see how the team would fair...admittadly not the best team to do it against but I think it had to be done.

The change in tactics and the player changes didn't really have any effect as we didn't perform well at all. Both goals were lost in the first half and in the second, once again discipline went out the window. Maybe against weaker opposition than the league leaders and last years champions the changes might be better but not against such strong opposition.
Poor luck, but you leave with it. Climb to the top of the table.

Scottish Cup Draw

The Scottish Cup's 4th Round Draw has drawn us against East Fife away from home. A draw that we should easily win but we will have to be wary of complacency.

Monthly Update - November

November was the worst month of my management career at Kilmarnock. We were a shadow of ourselves from previous months and lost 3 out of our 4 games, admittedly 2 of those were against Rangers who are running away with the league now but we really should have contended more against Hibernian considering we beat them at home earlier in the season.

Due to us losing the 3 games in a row we have dropped down to 3rd place which is still good but hopefully we can return to 2nd by christmas so that we can push on the last half of the season.

We had players 3 players impress during training through November while only one player failed to impress, they were:

James Dayton - Aerobics
Matthew Kennedy - Tactics
Jude Winchester - Strength
&
Rory McKeown - Tactics

Financially it was the same old story with the club losing more money, £82,000 to be accurate, though like last month we only paid one batch of loan repayments back as we were not in profit. Our main expenditure this month was Match Day Expenses at a peak of £121,000 while our main income was Gate Reciepts of £302,000 due to the home game against Rangers.

English League Cup Update

Manchester United have been drawn up against Manchester City in the semi-final of the League Cup.

The other tie is Ipswich Town versus Leicester City.

Transfer and Contract News

Micheal Gardyne has agreed a contract to join us from Ross County when his contract with them run out. He will come in and we'll see where he can fit in once loan contracts end. However for the moment he will likely contend for the left wing spot with David Silva.

In other news Garry Hay has agreed a contract extension of a year for HALF the current wages he is on. This will definitely help with the wage budget that is strict at the moment.

Matchday 17

Home to Aberdeen

Formation: 4-2-3-1

...................Bell..................
..Pursehouse..Pascali..Sissoko..McKeown..
.............Stewart....Fowler...........
..Kennedy........Harkins.......Silva.....
..................Gros...................

Subs: Bell, Kroca, Buijs, Kelly, Racchi, Dayton, Heffernan

Result

Won 1-0

I was very happy with this performance as we took the lead in the first half and despite going a man down we still managed to hold onto the lead till the end of the match to end our losing streak. Gros has still not scored in over 400+mins of football so I am thinking about restoring Galan to the first team before letting Heffernan back into the squad.
Finally we win.

Matchday 18

Away to Dunfermline.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Line-Up:

GK: Jaakola
LB: Panikvar
CB: Sissoko
CB: Kroca
RB: Buijs
CM: Fowler
CM: Stewart
LW: Silva
AM: Harkins
RW: Kennedy
ST: Galan

Subs: Bell, McKeown, Pursehouse, Kelly, Racchi, Dayton, Heffernan

Result

Lost 1-0

Another game that we lost that I think we really should have done better in. We had slightly more possession but with that we created no where near enough chances and those that we did create we couldn't take advantage of. On the other end we allowed far to many chances and Dunfermline managed to take control through this and the game was eventually theirs to lose. Despite the loss we still hold 3rd place over 4th by 2 points, a gap I hope that doesn't collapse over the next couple of weeks.

Matchday 19

Home to Dundee United

Formation 4-2-3-1

Line Up

GK: Jaakola
LB: Panikvar
CB: Sissoko
CB: Kroca
RB: Buijs
CM: Fowler
CM: Stewart
LW: Shiels
AM: Harkins
RW: Dayton
ST: Heffernan

Subs: Bell, Pursehouse, McKeown, Kelly, Kennedy, Silva, Gros

Result

Lost 4-0

I don't know what else to say other than this was an absolutely abysmal display by the team. I am thinking of resorting back to the 4-2-2-2 formation to see if that helps.
