Did anyone here manage to build a half-decent academy ? all my young players (NUFC) are rubbish and I can't get them to improve. I want to be like West Ham or Liverpool and have a team full of Home grown players

well scout the under 18s leagues and what the scouts recommend sign them put them in the u18s
yea but he wan't acutall people that came up from the acadamy micah
at the start they all are real players but then you have to stick with made up players
yea but how do you get those made up players to start off good or is it inevitable?
well some of them are rubbish but i have had a few that have come through at 16 and was one of the top prem scorers at 17 his name was jason stott but he came through in 2011
the only way you can better the ability is to ask the board for a better youth acadmey

your having a laugh, how can players from spain be english born players????
yea but get your scouts on the u18 league in england that should sort it out
I think it takes time. Ive got a world class academy have had for like 5 years but im only now starting to see good players come thorugh. For a completely home grown team you'll probs have to play until lke 2025.
I've got one of the best Youth Academies in the world at Arsenal, but I still find myself looking through the other EPL teams new Academy players and signing maybe 5 each year.
