Intro: I’m a relatively new member of FM Scout and the first thing I did was look at the story section of the forum. They all looked like good careers and I thought that I would join in with a story of my own. If you haven’t guessed already this story start’s with my English team, Newcastle United. It’s been a weird few seasons for the Magpies, relegated in 08/09 season, promoted in the 09/10 season, a Mid-table finish in the 10/11 season and we’re currently flying high in the Premier League in the 11/12 season. With the players performing so well in real life I thought, “why don’t I try and emulate that success?”
Expectations: After finishing 12th last season and bringing in more talent I believe we can finish in the top half of the table, maybe even nick a Europa League spot if we’re lucky. Hopefully we can also provide the St. James’ faithful with a memorable cup run.
Tactics: Just a brief look at the three tactics I have prepared for the coming season. I always think Newcastle should be familiar with a 4-4-1-1 (ever since FIFA 09 when I used Carroll and Nolan) although I have also prepared a 4-4-2 with Wingers and a 4-2-4, the most defensive of our formations, this will most likely be employed when we need to hold a lead or hold out for a point.
