Scouting Problem

I have a scout for arsenal named (Steve Rowley) who is scouting the English Premier League. Status: Ongoing. I want to send a scout to spain and him to scout the entire league like Rowley does, however, it doesnt give me the option to do this and set it to ongoing. Im playing the xbox 360 version. Anyone help? Im probably just doing something stupid.

well....just choose scout nation.tbh whenever i've sent a scout to a nation to scout it he always returned.he never scouted the nation continuous.u must probably look for an option just like u said "ongoing".maybe red knows.he knows everything so just stick around

haha i dont think its possible to have a scout stay in another league to scout.

if im correct u can scout a certain competition?

i dont use the scouts that often so i dont exactly know. but im quite so certain i have seen that you can scout a certain competition?

Hmmm. I believe it could be perhaps that Im playing on the 360 version. Its not as in depth as pc version I dont believe. Im just sure on FM 07 that I had people scouting matches in La Liga recomending players each week. Maybe I dreamt it lol. Thanks anyway guys.

I think by default (or is it just my save game that's some months old and I don't remember well lol), there are two ongoing scouting assignments. One about scouting your next opponent and another for scouting the country and the division you play at.
In addition you can add new scouting assignments targeted to certain countries and/or greater regions. I don't think you can scout a competition if your save game doesn't include it... for example if you have only loaded to play Premier League, you probably can't scout La Liga.

Thanks guys. This has been relatively helpful. Ive come to the conclusion that it is not possible to do what I wished to do on the 360 version yet perhaps might work on my pc. Thanks again
