Player wants to move to a bigger club.

Issue : Jamil Adam concerned. Adam is making noise about wanting to join a bigger club in the near future.

Jamil Adam is my best striker. Already scoring his 100th goal for Grimsby Town. Now he wants to leave. This is the conversation I had with him :

If you have faced with similar situations please discuss. I use the soft and hard approach or the hard and hard approach in this case. What are your experiences and advices.

I usully say that I will let him go at the end of the season which usually works for me.

He should be happy for a while judging from how that conversation went but its likely he'll bring the issue up again in 6 months time if he continues to do really well.

You took the right path in the interaction and it worked this time and I'd recommend saying the same thing if the issue comes up again. If it doesn't work out you might end up having to sell him.

The best way to prevent these conversations coming up is to just keep improving your club, I'd be willing to bet that if you win promotion this season that Adam won't bring the issue up again.
