Loving the story mate, shame about the money this season, but think the board are investing for the future... even if it means you've got less to spend now.

Cheers for the comment mate. I hope your right about the board because iv'e decided to try for promotion as i am in the play offs currently... I have made my decision because even if the club go to league 2 and can't cope financially, its not going to hurt my reputation as a talented manager. Its better to go up and come back down rather than not go up. If the squad are capable this season, they may not be next year if i don't get any support from the board again. So hopefully i get my tactics right in the 2 games against fleetwood coming up and maybe the play off final. Needless to say, ill update once the games are over.

maybe you can get promoted via playoffs but league 2 will be a hard one. maybe a midtable result, idk

Karius is a good signing - I still have him as my GK on my Shrewsbury save and they're in the prem!! Its always better to get promoted than to hold steady - higher divisions = higher attendances, even if most of them are away fans!!

If you find yourself struggling for wages and the board wont help be prepared to sacrifice a player who is getting interest. Sell him for more than hes worth then re-adjust the budgets to free up more cash in the wage budget.

Pre season get friendlies for the biggst clubs possible to get some extra cash and get yourself a parent club with a deal to arrange friendlies included.

Well as i promised, i would update my story after the Play off games. So heres the outcome

So the club finished 4th in the league after a very pleasing season. We conceded more goals this term but continued to be a attacking force to be reckoned with. I have been offered a new 2 year deal with the club and i had no hesitation to accept. The three players of Counago, Koroma and Smith who were my key players last term have not failed to impress again this season. While i'm worried how the board are going to cope on a financial level, i am very happy with my achievements in 2 seasons at Truro. The club are now at a new high, and the future looks bright for the fans.

Fleetwood stood in our way for the Playoff semi-final and as we have had mixed results against them since first playing them last season in the FA trophy, i am pleased to say we managed to scalp the victory over 2 legs to reach the final at Old Trafford.

We then had a much tougher opponent in Luton town, we managed to beat this team 4-1 in the league previous to the fleetwood games. I thought this was just a freak luck experience and at the time Luton had alot of players injured, so i wouldnt be approaching the final with the same mentality. We used a more defensive/counter approach and it only just payed dividend. Luton took the the lead at the start of the second half only for 2 of my key men to step up and put the club where it has never been before.

14,713 fans saw something of a miracle on the proud day at Old Trafford and i can't wait for the new season as a professional club!

The board have decided to expand the stadium to 5,500 seats

Yet our average attendance for our just finished season was 2,000

We are now professional so the board better step up with the cash, if they can do this every season then i dont see why i cant improve on more important aspects of the club
