There are a few facepack styles out there already. The most popular one is the cut-out style, which is also the default style of the game for profile pictures. There's also a panini style, but it looks quite old fashioned.

For years I've been using cut-out packs, but I was feeling the need to come up with a new style myself. And then it hit me. Why not try a circular style?

It's less work than doing a cut-out and also more stylish and modern, at least for me. The way the neck is cut with the cut-out style is ugly, so after some experiments I came up with a circular style that was eventually named "scope" after considering a few suggestions from various community members.

The picture below shows how this style looks in-game on both light and dark skins.

This topic will feature all the released facepacks which should appear in our downloads area. It will also feature a list of teams registered by community members who want to contribute their facepacks using our scope style.

Our Mission

While it would be nice to eventually reach 100K pictures combined for our facepacks, that's an unrealistic target considering that only 2 people are currently working on these packs.
So a realistic goal is to complete certain megapacks by the end of summer 2012, and to be more specific we aim to make the following:
* Champions League & Europa League (EU)
* Premier League & Championship (ENG)
* La Liga (ESP)
* Seria A (ITA)
* Bundesliga (GER)
* Ligue 1 (FRA)

Scope PSD and Photoshop Style

You may download the archive file that includes the PSD of the circle and the Photoshop style to use when creating a Scope styled face.

Quick Instructions
A video tutorial might arrive later to showcase the process, even though it's quite simple if you're familiar with Photoshop.
In a nutshell: Open the PSD, paste your player picture of choice (as a new layer), press Ctrl and left-click on the circle layer to get your selection, create a new layer via copy with the circular player face, apply scope style on it.
I've got Photoshop but not got round to installing yet. I might give it a go myself for you tonight if I get chance. My FMScout FC story is taking up a lot of my spare time at the min!
do we have to do photoshop to actually get the facepack to work ??

Taken from http://www.fmscout.com/a-fm-2012-cut-out-faces-megapack.html

Step 2
Cut and paste the folder "sortitoutsi" to:
Win Vista/Windows 7: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2012\graphics\
Win 2000/XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2012\graphics\
Win 98/ME: C:\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2012\graphics\
Mac OS X: /Users/<username>/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2012/graphics/

Create folder "graphics" if it doesn't exist already.

Step 3
Run Football Manager 2012 and go to: Preferences > Display and Sound
Make sure that you tick the check box on the page called 'Always Reload Skin on Confirm' and un-tick then box saying 'Use Skin Cache'. Hit Confirm.
There should be a box that pops up saying 'loading image data for the new skin'. Once this is done your graphics should be working within the game.
@toonman8589:
If you already have other facepacks installed, I'm afraid you can't have both.

@Mikethemanc:
The scope facepacks have proper detailed installation instructions on page. The instructions from the cut-out facepack might be similar, but certain key details don't apply to scope ones.

So basically, just follow individual instructions on each download page.
where manchester city/united facepack. please.... :(
I can't get it to work so I must be doing something wrong. I have pasted the new layer , pressed ctrl & held down the left mouse button, and then duplicated the layer (it duplicates both), then applied the style and . . . nothing.
Thanks to stam for all the help.

I am working on the following:

ipswich
west brom
qpr
wigan
man city
Once you get a pack ready, zip it and email it to me. I'll host in-house on our servers and release the downloadable on your behalf.

Thanks for your kind words Plopper :)

Yes we will be releasing Milan, Inter and more soon. We were just taking a short break after the completion of the EPL 11/12 scope megapack, which we are very proud of.
Are there Facpacks off RSC Anderlecht(Belgium) Santos, Sao Paulo and River Plate?
