Hi, I was wondering.... each player has a Potential Ability (PA) and a Current Ability (CA). When stats are raised PA is fulfilled and CA rises. This leads to my question. Lets say you have a CB and you place him on a training schedule where the shooting slider has been pushed to the far left and so he is not training on shooting at all. Over time this will surely lead to stat decreases in shooting, long shots etc. Does this lower his CA and create room to boost other more important stats relative to his position such as tackling or strength? I have made several training schedules where the training areas less needed by players relative to their position have been eliminated. Is this effective. Any clarity on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

I would have to say, based on my experience, yes. It's hard to deduce such conclusion when the player is still developing and well below his PA. But when he reaches his maximum CA (CA=PA), and given that he is still not declining, you will see that that is the case.
For example, I bought Eden Hazard in my Arsenal save in the second season, and trained him with my own schedule. All of us know that Hazard has poor finishing, but I wanted to use him as an inside forward so I had to train him accordingly. So seasons passed, it was 2016 and he has maximum CA but only has 14 finishing. So I decided to "focus train" his finishing (take note: he has already maximum CA). So we fast forward again to 2019, and he still increased his finishing to 17 together with his other "important attributes", while his defensive attributes, marking and tackling, plunged to 3 and 2 respectively (Again, all of these happened to him in the span of 3 years even though he has maximum CA).
I'm not sure if what you're saying is really what's happening (lower his CA and create room to boost other more important stats relative to his position) when not-so-important skills decrease, but I guess it's somehow like that.
