Have you tried declaring interest and telling the press you admire him? if you get him its well worth the money, i have just started a new campaign with napoli and unfortunately after 5 games he was injured and out for 7 weeks but in the first 5 games he had 9 goals (5 in one match, also 1 in a 2-0 victory in the CL vs man utd) he reterned to full fitness and after 2 games of easing him back in he scored 3 in 2, im 14 league games in and he has scored 10 in 7 league games, top scorer in the league even after missing half the games so far!!
sure, i tried...nothing happend, i know hes worth every money, well i hope i can buy him next season...but i wonder why he doesnt want to join real, i`ve added new manager to check and he only want to join barca from spain. Also he can easily join every top club from premiership.
if he wants to join barca that could be the reson why it stops him wanting a contact offer from real, i had the same problem with a young player i wanted for man utd but i couldnt offer him a contract and then a few weeks later he joined city!!
