I've just been promoted with Plymouth into league1, but i'm having difficulties signing anyone as nobody wants to join me! Is there a way of filtering players that would accept an approach from me using genie scout?

Ive got the same problem !
I think u need to try and make the best of it for at least 2 years then your club's rep will increase ( if you play in the competition )

And your signings will go much smoother then your first year in League 1

Agreed, in my Leeds game I couldn't sign anyone in the top division of other nations when I was promoted to the EPL, although for some reason I could sign Ryan Shawcross and Steven Taylor whose respective clubs at that time had more reputation than my Leeds.
