You join me in my second season as toon boss about 10 or 11 games in. To summerise in my first season i finished 4th in the league and i won the FA cup so overall not a bad season :D . Ill post some stats and pics later if i can do them. new post soon :)
Transfers 2011-12 season.

Bassong - loan
Sturridge - loan
Graham Dorrans - 6m
Mcfadden - free
El Hadj Diouf - free
Kolbein siqorson or however you spell it 4.6m

They are the players that helped me get top 4 :)

Transfers 2012-13 season

Sturridge - 3.5m (BARGIN!!!!)
Kalou - 6m
Shaqiri - 10.5m
Gattuso - free
Gibson - free
Zaha - free

I signed theese players so that i could have a big squad to cope with the extra champions league fixtures and to add some champions league expierienced players who know what its like to play in the big games. The only regret i have is not buying a decent CB and a LB , so any suggestions would be welcomed as i have just gone into january. And if anyone wants some screenshots then plz tell me how and i will post them. :D
January update

Transfers:

In:
Ter Stegen - 5.7m

Out:
Mcfadden 1.2m

Qualified for the knockout stages of the champions league and drew sporting lisbon so i should get through :)

Results:
League cup - Toon 1 - 2 0purs
FA Cup - Millwall 1 - 0 Toon
Premier League - West Brom 1 - 2 Toon
- Toon 2 - 0 Everton
- Man Utd 2 - 0 Toon
- Toon 2 - 1 Spurs

Overall i was happy with my teams performances this month because i wasnt to dissapointed to be out of both domestic cups. So i can now concentrate on finishing 4th in the prem aggain and maybe even winning the champions league :)
Febuary Update

Results:

Premier League -

West Ham 4 - 1 Toon
Toon 3 - 0 Norwich
Blackburn 1 - 3 Toon

Champions League Knockout Stage -

Sporting Lisbon 1 - 3 Toon

Overall a very good month apart from the very disapointing result against west ham, I'm also very hapy with my teams away win in portugal so unless there's a major upset i should qualify for the quarter finals :D
March Update

Premier League -
Wigan 1 - 2 Toon
Toon 3 -1 Birmingham
Toon 0 - 0 Wolves
Liverpol 2 - 1 Toon

Champions League Knockout Stage -

Toon 6 - 2 Sporting Lisbon

Overall not a bad month but i was disapointed with the results against wolves and liverpool because i dominated against wolves but couldnt find the breakthrough and Kuyt scored a late winner for Liverpool.
I was very pleased with my teams 9 - 3 aggregate win over Lisbon to reach the quater finals. The only downside to that success was that i now have Barcelona in the quarters but you never know ;)
Maybe you should take over newcastle in real life get some trophies

Who Scored most of your goals to fire you to 4th place? I just finished 7th with Newcastle in first season which wasn't too bad I suppose but I struggled for goals, Demba Ba is about as much use as a nuns tits.

What formation did you use?

Are McFadden and Diouf any good??
In my firts season i played 4-2-4

1st team for most of the season:

Goalkeeper - Krul
RB - Simpson
CB - Coloccini, Taylor
LB - Santon
CM Cabaye (advanced playmaker), Tiote (Ball winning midfielder)
RW - Obertan (Winger)
LW - Gutierrez (winger)
Strikers - Kolbeinn Sigorsson (Complete Forward) , Sturridge (Poacher)

Sturridge was my top scorer with 16 goals followd by Ba and Sigorssonon 12 each but i brought sigorsson in january so he did well and he missed the last 5 games due to injury.

Mcfadden and diouf were brought in to increase the stength and depth in my squad but mcfadden played well at 1st but he was only cover for gutierrez, and diouf had a god 5 or 6 games then his form dropped so i bstarted to play obertan and he did frantastic so diouf never got a look in after that.
Cheers Mate

Think I'm gonna start again, The Toon is a good job on FM, Solid defence and quality central midfield.

I sent Obertan straight out on loan as I think he is not good enough (real life) but interested you say he was quality, might have a look at him next time
April Update:

Premier League -
Toon 1 - 1 Man City
Arsenal 2 - 1 Toon
Toon 5 - 2 Swansea
Chelsea 1 - 1 Toon
Toon 3 - 0 Cardiff

Champions League -

Toon 5 -1 Barcelona
Barcelona 5 - 1 Toon (Newcastle win in penalty shootout)

Champiuons League Semi Finals -
Toon 2 - 1 Chelsea

I was very pleased this mont as my players performed very well especially in the champions league with a 5 - 1 home win aggainst Barcelona i thought we were throgh for sure. But in the second leg it was 0 - 0 at half time but then barce hit 5 out of knowhere but luckilly Sigorsson hit 1 back and that was enough to take it to penalties. A great start in the 1st leg of the semis aswell with a win against chelsea. In the prem i did alright taking 7/15 pionts but i would of liked to have beaten chealsea and the result away at the emerites was poor because arsenal took over me in 4th but therse still a long way to go :)
May Update:

Premier League -

Toon 2 - 1 Stoke
Aston Villa 4 - 0 Toon
Toon 4 - 1 Bolton

Champions League -

Chelsea 1 - 1 Toon

Summary:

I think I had another good mont as I took 6/9 points to finish 4th in the premier league fo a secon season running:) Iwas very pleased that my side had a good result at Chelsea in the second leg to put me into the Champions League final aginst Real Madrid :D
June Updtae:

Champions League Final -

Real Madrid 2 - 3 Newcastle

Summary:
Who'd have thought last season that i would be playing in a champions league game, let alone winning in the final :D A great effort from the lads even though Cabaye missed 2 Penalties but thankfully that diddnt matter :)
Also Tim Krul started in his 1st game since January and saved an 86th minute penalty frm Kaka :D

What a great end to a great season :)
2012/13 Stats

My top 3 scorers (Premier League) -

Sigorsson 24
Sturridge 22
Steven Taylor 6

Premier League table (Top 7) -

Man Utd 87 Pts
Man City 85 Pts
Spurs 77 Pts
Toon 71 Pts
Arsenal 66 Pts
Liverpool 65 Pts
Wolves 61 Pts

An excellent Season overall but i have leaned that i neec to buy a quality CB and a quality LB next season because i conceded too many goals . I would also like to buy a good creative midfielder who can score goals so suggestions would be welcome.

If anyone knows how to post screenshot then please tell me so i can get some up :)
