How old does a South American player have to be before they can go on loan to a European club?
Not sure if it's the same for loans, but if you try to sign the players, they won't arrive until they are 18.
Ah, not quite the same- I'm trying to loan a SAM youngster to the Championship- I'm in a transfer window but the loan option is greyed out.

It is possible it's from the same ruling that under 18's can't move abroad, even on loan.
Unless they have a EU citizenship... It's the very first thing I look for when signing SA regens. If you can get them at 14 to your club, that's a player you're going to want...
